Al-Bint Dam, also called Sadd al-Sahba, is an ancient stone dam south of Khaybar, built long before Islam to hold back the floodwater of the valley for the farms of the oasis. It is about 135 metres long. Its other name recalls al-Sahba, the place near Khaybar where Nabi Muhammad ﷺ stopped on his return from Khaybar in 7 AH. The dam stands in a rocky valley a short drive from Khaybar town and is a popular stop for visitors.
