Sarai Sultan Gate is a surviving gateway of the caravanserai built in the nineteenth century by Mian Muhammad Sultan, the contractor who built Lahore's railway station and many other buildings of early colonial Lahore. The brick gateway stands in the busy streets between the railway station and Delhi Gate, and the old sarai is now a market for iron and metal goods.
