The Shahi Guzargah, the Royal Trail, is the historic route through the Walled City that the Mughal emperors took from Delhi Gate to the Lahore Fort. Along it stand the Shahi Hammam, the Wazir Khan Mosque and its square, the Sunehri Mosque and Kashmiri Bazaar. The first stretch, from Delhi Gate to Wazir Khan Chowk, was restored by the Walled City of Lahore Authority, with façades repaired and overhead cables put underground. It is the best walking route through the old city, and guided walks start from Delhi Gate.
