This is the tomb of Khan-e-Jahan Bahadur Zafar Jang Kokaltash, the foster brother of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, who served as governor of the Punjab. He passed away in Lahore in 1697, and the tomb was built soon afterwards. The octagonal cut-brick tomb stands on a raised platform in Mohalla Ganj, near the Mughalpura railway workshops. Its dome rises on a high drum and its eight sides open in arched alcoves. The gates are often locked, but the tomb can be seen from outside.
