About Umm al-Qura Mosque

Umm al-Qura is one of the largest modern mosques in Baghdad, completed in 2001 in the al-Ghazaliya district in the west of the city. It is a city landmark. The mosque stands in landscaped grounds, with a large central dome surrounded by tall minarets.
