The Kahramana fountain is the bronze work of the sculptor Mohammed Ghani Hikmat, unveiled in 1971, showing Marjana from the tale of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves pouring oil into the jars where the thieves are hiding. It is one of the best-known public artworks of Baghdad. It stands at the junction of Saadoun Street and Karrada Dakhil Street in Karrada, where water flows from the jars.
