This is the shrine of Sayyid Idris, a descendant of the Prophet's ﷺ family, one of the best-known and most visited shrines of Baghdad. It stands in the Karrada district on the east bank of the Tigris. The grave once stood among orchards with a small cemetery beside it. It is now a large shrine with a dome, a mosque and courtyards, busiest in the evenings, when many families come for the sunset prayer.
