Sayyidah Hadiyah is traditionally remembered as the daughter of Imam Hasan al-Askari, a distinguished descendant of Nabi Muhammad ﷺ through Sayyidah Fatimah al-Zahra, Imam al-Husayn and Imam Ali Zayn al-Abidin. Through her attributed lineage, she belonged to the noble household of the Ahl al-Bayt and was a granddaughter of Imam Ali al-Hadi.
