About Grave of al-Hasan ibn Ubayd Allah

This shrine in the village of al-Mazidiyya, in the al-Hashimiyya district south of Hillah, is honoured as the grave of Sayyid Abu Muhammad al-Hasan ibn Ubayd Allah, a grandson of Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas ibn Ali. He was known as Amir Yanbu', and he later became governor of the Hijaz. It is a village shrine a few kilometres west of the town of al-Hashimiyya and is cared for by the Shia Endowment.
