The Fattah Pasha Mosque was built in 1362 AH / 1943 by the industrialist Fattah Pasha beside his textile mill in the Kadhimiya district. A small door in the wall between the two allowed the mill's workers to come straight in for prayer. It covers about 800 square metres, holds more than 500 worshippers and is decorated in the traditional brick and tile style of Baghdad's mosques. The graves of the Fattah Pasha family lie beside it.
