Al-Masnaya is the surviving river wall of an old building on the Tigris bank at Adhamiya, said locally to be the remains of a mosque of the 8th century AH that was taken by the river. The pontoon bridge that once linked Adhamiya with Kadhimiya was moored to it. Its brick wall still stands in the water beside the Imams' Bridge, and the riverside here is a favourite spot of the people of Adhamiya.
