Prača, a village east of Pale in the valley of the river Prača, was the birthplace of Semiz Ali Pasha, who served as Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire under Suleiman the Magnificent from 1561 to 1565. He endowed his home village with this mosque, which tradition dates to 1546. The mosque was destroyed in 1992 and rebuilt in 2008, and today it is a well-kept village mosque with an old graveyard. It lies on the road between Pale and Goražde and makes a peaceful stop in the Prača valley.
