Masjid al-Qal'ah, the Fort Mosque, stands in al-Hilwah in Hawtat Bani Tamim, south of Riyadh. It was built in 1250 AH and takes its name from the fort of Imam Turki ibn Abdullah Al Saud beside it. Congregational prayers are still held in the mosque, which holds about 180 worshippers. It was restored in the second phase of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Project for the Development of Historical Mosques.
