This small historic mosque stands at Qasr al-Shari'ah in al-Hayathem, in al-Kharj governorate south of Riyadh, and is said to have been built by Imam Saud ibn Abdulaziz, known as Saud the Great, in the early thirteenth century AH. It keeps its Najdi mud architecture. It was restored in the first phase of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Project for the Development of Historical Mosques, launched in 2018.
