This small cave lies on the western side of Mount Sal', above the lands of Banu Haram. According to tradition, Nabi Muhammad ﷺ spent nights in it during the siege of the Trench in 5 AH, keeping watch over the Muslim lines below, and it is remembered locally as a place where he prayed, which is why it is sometimes called the Cave of the Prostration. The cave is reached by a short climb from the area of Masjid Bani Haram. It is small and rocky, and it gives a sense of the hardship of those weeks on the mountain.
