About Castle of Hatim al-Ta'i

Hatim al-Ta'i, chief of the tribe of Tayy in the time before Islam, is remembered across the Arab world as the model of generosity. His daughter Saffanah, taken captive in the expedition to Tayy, was freed by Nabi Muhammad ﷺ in honour of her father's noble character, and she persuaded her brother Adi to come to Madinah, where both accepted Islam. Tuwarin, a village north-west of Ha'il in a valley among the Aja mountains, is the place associated with him. In the middle of the village stand the ruins of an old mud-brick palace known as his castle, and nearby is a small cemetery with two graves, one of which is honoured as the grave of Hatim.
