This old brick well stands in the lanes inside Delhi Gate, close to the Shahi Guzargah, and is signposted as the Mughal well. It is one of the wells that once supplied water to the houses and travellers of the old city. Its deep shaft is lined with the small bricks typical of the Mughal period. It sits in a busy market lane and is easy to miss, so it is best found on a walk along the royal route.
