About Grave of Muhammad Khalil al-Khatib

Shaykh Muhammad Khalil al-Khatib was a scholar of Tanta known for his learning in Arabic, Hanafi fiqh and hadith. He was of Prophetic descent and spent his life teaching in the city. He is buried in the Governorate Mosque (Masjid al-Muhafaza) in the centre of Tanta, a short distance north of the Badawi mosque.
