This old mosque at Saft Turab honours the Companion Abdullah ibn al-Harith ibn Jaz' al-Zubaydi, who emigrated to Madinah, took part in the conquest of Egypt and settled there. Mazarat Misr counts him among the Companions buried in Egypt, and the people of the village have long honoured this mosque as his resting place. Its dome and minaret are in the old local style, and a mawlid was held here until recent years. The village lies just south of Mahalla al-Kubra on the road towards Tanta.
