Shaykh Abd al-Aziz al-Dirini was a scholar and saint of the seventh century AH and a student of Shaykh Abu al-Fath al-Wasiti. He wrote on law, the Qur'an and the spiritual path, and many scholars of his time benefited from his teaching. His mosque is in the village of Dirin near Nabaroh, north of Mansoura, and it has been renewed in recent years.
