This shrine on the slopes of Mount Qasiyun, in the Salihiyyah area of Damascus, is honoured as the grave of Nabi Dhul-Kifl, who is counted among the prophets and righteous men in Islamic tradition. He is also honoured at al-Kifl in Iraq. The shrine has been visited for generations and stands near the mosque that bears his name.
