About Miqat of Qarn al-Manazil

Qarn al-Manazil is the miqat set by Nabi Muhammad ﷺ for the people of Najd in central Arabia. Pilgrims coming from the east, including those travelling via Riyadh and Taif, enter ihram here before continuing to Makkah. The site is today the town of al-Sayl al-Kabir, about eighty kilometres east of Makkah, where a large mosque with extensive washing and changing facilities serves the pilgrims. A second point on the same boundary, at Wadi Muhrim on the mountain road through al-Hada, is used by those travelling directly from Taif.
