This mosque stands in the old village of Sadr Ayd near al-Namas. An old inscription beside its mihrab is cited locally as evidence that the mosque goes back to the second century AH. It is built of stone in the style of the Sarat mountains. It was restored in the first phase of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Project for the Development of Historical Mosques, launched in 2018.
