The Old Campus of the University of the Punjab on The Mall is the original home of the university, founded in 1882 and one of the oldest in South Asia. It is also known as the Allama Iqbal Campus. Its red-brick buildings in the Indo-Saracenic style, with domes and arcades, face the Mall opposite the Lahore Museum and the National College of Arts. The main university now sits on its larger New Campus, but several faculties remain here.
