About King Edward Medical University

King Edward Medical University was founded in 1860 as the Lahore Medical School, making it the oldest medical school in Pakistan. It became King Edward Medical College in 1911 and a university in 2005. Its white colonial buildings with domes and arcades stand beside Mayo Hospital near Nila Gumbad, off the Mall.
