Shaikhupurian Bazaar is a Mughal-era bazaar inside Taxali Gate, named after Prince Salim, the future emperor Jahangir, whose pet name was Sheikhu. Today it is the Walled City's market for traditional footwear. Its shops sell handmade leather khussas and Kolhapuri and other desi chappals, both retail and wholesale. Taxali Gate, the Fort Road Food Street and the Badshahi Mosque are close by.
