This shrine in Wasit Governorate is honoured as the grave of Sayyid Abu al-Fadl Taj al-Din Muhammad ibn Majd al-Din Husayn al-Awi al-Aftasi, a descendant of Imam Zayn al-Abidin through al-Hasan al-Aftas. He was a well-known scholar and preacher who worked to revive learning and moral life in Iraq in the years after the Mongol conquest. The shrine lies about 1 km off the main road in the Taj al-Din subdistrict of the al-Aziziyya district. Visitors describe it as a quiet and spiritual place.
