About Grave of Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Muthanna

This shrine in the village of Sa'diyyat al-Shatt, in the al-Khalis district of Diyala Governorate, is honoured as the grave of Sayyid Muhammad, son of al-Hasan al-Muthanna and great-grandson of Sayyiduna Ali ibn Abi Talib. The shrine of Sayyid Yasin stands about 150 metres away, so the two can be visited together, and both are cared for by the Shia Endowment.
