About Grave of Abu Idris al-Ba'qubi

Abu Idris al-Ba‘qubi, whose name is given as Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Idris al-Hasani (علي بن محمد بن عبد الله بن إدريس الحسني), was a 6th–7th century AH religious figure from the Baqubah area. Local genealogical traditions trace his lineage through Musa al-Jawn → Abdullah al-Mahd → al-Hasan al-Muthanna → Imam al-Hasan ibn Ali (RA), making him a descendant of the Ahl al-Bayt. He is also described as having been among the students or spiritual associates of Shaykh Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani, and is said to have died in 619 AH / 1222 CE in his native area of Rawha near Baqubah, where he was buried at his ribat and his grave later became a recognised shrine.
