The Saray mosque is one of the old mosques of Rusafa, opposite the Ottoman government house, and has been known by several names: the Hasan Pasha mosque, the mosque of al-Nasir li-Din Allah, and the King Ghazi mosque, because the kings of Iraq prayed there. Its foundation is attributed to the Abbasid caliph al-Nasir, and it was rebuilt several times under the Ottomans, taking its present wide form under Hasan Pasha in the early 18th century. The prayer hall is roofed with eleven domes and has a single minaret faced with Qashani tiles. It stands on the Saray lane near the Qishla and Mutanabbi Street and was restored with the rest of the lane in 2024.
