The mosque of Sinan Pasha was built in 1571 by the Ottoman governor of Egypt of that name, in the river port of Bulaq. It is one of the finest Ottoman mosques in Cairo. Its single great dome rises over the prayer hall and is surrounded on three sides by an arcaded portico, with a garden courtyard around it. It stands in Bulaq near the Nile.
