The House of Egyptian Architecture, Bayt al-Mi'mar al-Misri, is an Ottoman-era house in Darb al-Labbana where the architect Hassan Fathy once lived. It is now a cultural centre devoted to the history of building in Egypt. Its rooms hold exhibitions on Egyptian architecture and on Hassan Fathy and Ramses Wissa Wassef, and it hosts talks and workshops. The roof gives one of the best views over the domes and minarets of old Cairo to the Citadel.
