About Grave of Ali al-Dabba'

Shaykh Ali Muhammad al-Dabba' was Shaykh of the Egyptian reciters and one of the foremost authorities of the twentieth century on the readings of the Qur'an and the writing of the mushaf. He reviewed the printed copies of the Qur'an issued in Egypt and passed away in 1961. He is buried in the Basatin cemeteries south of the Qarafa, beside Shaykh Mahmud Khalil al-Husari.
