This mosque on the northern bank of Wadi Zabid, in the area known as Wadi al-Bani, is traditionally linked to the Companion Mu'adh ibn Jabal, sent to Yemen by Nabi Muhammad ﷺ. It is separate from al-Janad Mosque near Taiz and from the mosque of the same name in Sana'a. The small white domed mosque stands among fields and palms beside the wadi, with mountains behind, and the surrounding area is a popular place for families to visit.
