This is the house in Aynat where Sayyid Abu Bakr ibn Salim (919–992 AH) lived, known as Dar al-Hadra. It was the centre of his life in Aynat: here he received visitors from across Hadramawt and fed his guests, and the weekly gathering of remembrance that he held here continues in his mosque nearby. The house is a traditional Hadrami mud-brick building of several storeys, reached up steep steps from the lanes of Aynat, a short walk from his mosque and grave.
