Al-Asqalani Mosque is one of the old mosques of Crater, Aden's historic town, and bears the name of the great hadith scholar Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani, who visited Yemen. It has long been a spiritual centre for the people of Aden and has kept much of its old construction. The mosque stands on Hasan Ali Street with a decorated stone facade and minaret, and has a prayer hall for women.
