The Well of Buda'ah belonged to Banu Sa'idah of the Khazraj and stood in their quarter north-west of Masjid al-Nabawi. It is well known from the reports about the purity of its water, and it was one of the wells from which Nabi Muhammad ﷺ drank. The site lies about 140 metres from Saqifah Bani Sa'idah, in the area north-west of Masjid al-Nabawi, and two specialist maps mark it within a few dozen metres of each other.
