Al-Rawha
Al-Rawha' was a well-watered valley and resting place on the old road between Madinah and Makkah, roughly sixty kilometres south-west of Madinah. Nabi Muhammad ﷺ passed through it on his journeys, including the march to Badr and his travels for Umrah and Hajj, and the Companions remembered it as a blessed stopping place. The old well of al-Rawha' still stands near the village of the same name, a short distance from the mosque that marks the Prophet's ﷺ prayer site. The area is quiet and rural and is usually visited by those travelling the historic route between the two Holy Cities.
