Nisar Haveli, also known as Haveli Nawab Sahib after the family of nawabs who owned it, is a historic haveli inside Mochi Gate. Since the 1850s it has been the starting point of Lahore's largest Ashura procession. On the eve of the tenth of Muharram a majlis is held in its courtyard, and that night the procession sets out through the lanes of the Walled City. The haveli stands in the dense mohallas inside Mochi Gate, close to the shrine of Ahmad Tokhta Tirmidhi.
