The National History Museum, opened in 2018 and curated by the Citizens Archive of Pakistan, tells the story of the subcontinent from the arrival of the East India Company through the Pakistan Movement and Partition. It was described at its opening as Pakistan's first digital museum. Its galleries use archives, oral histories of those who lived through Partition, dioramas and a virtual reality display, with further sections on popular culture and sport. The museum stands at the northern end of Greater Iqbal Park, close to Minar-e-Pakistan, and is closed on Mondays.
