عن Grave of Musa Ahangar

This is the shrine of Shaykh Musa Ahangar, a Sufi saint of Lahore, whose tomb was built around 1560. It is counted as the earliest surviving example of glazed tile decoration in Lahore and marks the transition from the Multani style of building to the later Lahore style of the Mughals. The square brick tomb has gently tapering walls set with blind arches on two levels and is topped by a dome on a drum, whose glazed tile finish is among its few original surfaces. The tomb stands beside the saint's mosque and house in a lane off McLeod Road, reached through an old arched gateway near Chowk Qila Gujjar Singh.
