The Grand Jamia Mosque in Bahria Town was opened in 2014 and is one of the largest mosques in Pakistan. It was built in a Mughal revival style, drawing on the Badshahi and Wazir Khan mosques, with Multani glazed tile work and large domes and minarets. The mosque is in Bahria Town, about 25 km south-west of the old city. Its prayer hall is lit by large chandeliers, and the complex includes an Islamic centre and a small museum. It is open to visitors outside prayer times, and the grounds are pleasant in the evening.
