Ramadi

يقع هذا المزار التاريخي على تل بارز في حصيبة الشرقية، شرق الرمادي وبين الرمادي والخالدية، على بُعد نحو 85 كيلومترًا غرب بغداد. ويضم المجمع المزار ذا القبة…
This historic shrine stands on a prominent hill in Husaybah al-Sharqiyah, east of Ramadi and between Ramadi and al-Khalidiyah, approximately 85 kilometres west of Baghdad. The complex includes the domed shrine and an adjoining mosque and has long been visited by communities from across Iraq. Local shrine tradition identifies him as Sayyid Masʿud ibn Sayyid Jamal al-Din, a descendant of Imam Musa al-Kazim through Zayd al-Nar. The site is also associated with his sister, Sayyidah Saʿdah, who is traditionally said to be buried alongside or near him. Local accounts state that the two were killed during unrest in the later Abbasid period and buried at the place of their deaths. The shrine suffered repeated attacks and serious destruction after 2003, including damage to its dome and mosque, but its religious and historical importance to the people of Anbar has continued.
