This domed building was built by the amir Yashbak min Mahdi, who was brought to Egypt as a boy in 1438 and rose to be dawadar of Sultan Qaytbay. The district of Hada'iq al-Qubba takes its name from it. The dome rises about twenty metres over a square hall raised above a cistern. It is now used as a mosque with a shrine, and it stands opposite the Qubba Palace.
