The Muwasat Mosque belongs to the Muwasat charitable society, one of the old benevolent societies of Alexandria, and was built in the 1930s in the Hadra district. It stands in landscaped grounds shared with the society's other buildings, and its white minaret can be seen above the gardens from the street.
