The mosque of Manjak al-Yusufi was built in 1349 and 1350 by the amir Manjak al-Yusufi, who served as vizier to the Mamluk sultans. A large cistern lies beneath it. Its minaret stands apart from the mosque, which is unusual in Cairo. The mosque lies outside Bab al-Wazir below the Citadel, near the bimaristan of al-Mu'ayyad.
