This campus in the old city of Damascus, close to the shrine of Sayyidah Ruqayyah, is the Sayyidah Ruqayyah complex of Bilad al-Sham University for Sharia Sciences, the Islamic university established in Damascus in the early 2010s from several older religious institutes. It is a working place of study, teaching the religious sciences, and takes its name from the nearby shrine.
