Al-Sadat al-Mujahidin Mosque is a historic mosque in the north of the old city of Damascus, on Naqib al-Ashraf Street. It dates back to the twelfth century, around 538 AH, and has served the people of its quarter for nearly nine hundred years. In the twentieth century it became known as a centre of teaching under Shaykh Muhammad Salih al-Hamawi, who was its imam and preacher from 1960 and taught the Qur'an, Hanafi law, belief and the shama'il of the Prophet ﷺ here for decades. It remains an active neighbourhood mosque.
