This shrine in Kirkuk is honoured as the grave of Sayyid Shaykh Muhammad, known as Muhyi al-Din, son of Sayyid Hasan Gula Zarda, of the Barzinji sayyids. The Barzinjis are a Husayni family of Kurdistan whose shaykhs have led the Qadiri way across the region for centuries. It stands in the north-eastern part of Kirkuk and is visited by followers of the Barzinji shaykhs and by local families.
