Jablaničko Lake is a long reservoir on the river Neretva, created in the 1950s when a dam was built at Jablanica. It stretches for about thirty kilometres between Jablanica and Konjic, with clear green water and wooded mountains rising on either side. In summer its shores are popular for swimming, boating and fishing, and there are campsites and holiday houses along the water. The lake lies beside the main road from Sarajevo to Mostar and makes a pleasant stop on the way.
